Welcome to Enchanted Material. It is a page dedicated to my personal pursuit of poetry and music, and to some extent philosophy. The term comes from a concept I am pioneering through some of my works related to the physical world as it exists. The naturalistic medium of reality embodies such wonder capable of providing an alternative to many of the long-sought ideas embodied by other visions of spirituality or religion. This web-presence is a haven for those who do not subscribe necessarily to the superstitious or to the supernatural, but who recognize that reality itself is a deeply moving concept. Many of these ideas are integral to my entire work titled Majestic Dark. In that respect, Enchanted Material is merely a way of looking at and experiencing the world.
What you'll find in my long narrative poem Majestic Dark is that the known properties of physical reality propagate our lived experiences and meaning eternally, and that fact may offer us great solace despite the entropic nature of the universe, much the way salvation would. The work speaks beyond its initial intent; to create a modern adaptation of Aratus' Phaenomena, which was a poetic tour of the night sky that transformed into an ode to storytelling across millenia and our connection to the deep past. It links story and meaning into an eternal relevance, and offers that we are all forever integral to the patchwork that comprises spacetime and the universe at scale.
